Misty Cato is one of the fabulous designers at scrapbook-elements.com. She had done a great tutorial on using frames in layouts that is worth checking out.

I was very flattered to see that she used my recent layout of Kyan as an example of grungy frames. 
I don’t think that it is very nice to call my cute angelic grandson
“GRUNGY” unless of course you know something about him I don’t know.
